Visa International Tournament: 
EHB has agreed with LOCOG the availability of an advance purchase opportunity for tickets for the test event Tournament at Olympic Park from 2 – 6 May 2012, in which Great Britain men or women will be competing in every session. Detailed pricing information will be released on 27 February 2012, and tickets will be priced up to £15 for adults and up to £10 for concessions. All advance bookings for the test event will require a special promotional code and must be made in the date window below via Ticketmaster on a first-come, first-served basis. Group bookings of 10 or more must be registered with EHB by Tuesday 28th February at 4pm 2012 to receive the group promotional code (this is to ensure that groups are for bonafide members and not ticket touts). Non group bookings should use the code detailed below. As a proud partner of London 2012, Visa (debit, credit, prepaid) is the only card accepted for ticket sales for this London Prepares series event.

By 28 February 4pm: The Hockey Family group bookings registration with EHB deadline (for bookings of 10 or more tickets).This registration will provide you with the group promotions code required for Ticketmaster. Please note that registration with EHB does not guarantee you tickets at this stage and tickets will only be confirmed when you have made a telephone booking with Ticketmaster (see below). Please register your group by emailing the full name of the contact, the name of the group booking i.e. Club name and the estimated number of tickets you are likely to book to groupregistrations@GBhockey.org. Your registration will be confirmed within 7 days. The group bookings telephone number and special promotions code will be issued by 29th February 2012.

From 1 March 10am (first come, first served): The Hockey Family group bookings open (for bookings of 10 or more tickets)
All Hockey Family group bookings need to be made by telephone using the group promotional code provided by EHB when you registered (telephone number for group bookings and code will be provided by 29th February 2012). Bookings will need to be paid for in full by Visa card at the time of booking or can be invoiced by Ticketmaster and paid for by cheque.

6 March 10am – 15 March 10am (first come, first served): The Hockey Family non group (between 1 and 9 tickets) bookings open. All Hockey Family non group bookings should be made online at www.ticketmaster.co.uk/londonpreparesseries. Bookings will need to be paid for in full by Visa card at the time of booking. The special promotional code for these bookings is HOCKEYPREPARES (please note this is full caps and no gaps and should be entered on the booking form under the section “GB Hockey adult presale” or “GB Hockey concession presale”).

Level One Coaching Assistant Award courses : 
This is the minimum qualification to assist with hockey coaching sessions. Courses are 17 hours duration and cost £160.
The closing date for applications is 6 weeks prior to the course start date. The next courses in East will be on 22 April, 6 & 20 May at Letchworth HC, 2, 6 and 13 May at Bedford Sports and Hockey Centre, 3, 10 and 17 June at Spalding HC, and 3, 10 and 17 June at Harleston HC. There will also be an online course on 14, 16 and 30 September at Chelmsford HC. See more details on the EHB website here

Level 2 Coach Awards:: 
There are still spaces on the Level 2 courses at Harleston Magpies Hockey Club on 12, 13, 19 and 20 May and Bedford Sports and Hockey Centre on 9, 10, 16 and 17 June. For further details and to download application form, see the EHB website here

FIH Women's Champions Trophy: 
GB Women beat Germany 2-0 in the semi-final on Saturday, but lost 0-1 to world champions and hosts Argentina in the final on Sunday. More details here

Varsity Matches 2012: 
The varsity matches will be hosted by Southgate HC this year, and for the first time in many years will be held on a Sunday, namely 11 March 2012. The Southgate Club has given this day over to Oxford and Cambridge and arranged its matches elsewhere. Full details of the programme are available.Programme:

England Hockey AGM : 
The AGM will be held on Tuesday 20 March at Bisham Abbey. Formal notice of the AGM will be circulated with the ballot papers for the election of Officers & Non-Executive Directors, on or about 23 February. Three Non-Executive Directors and the Vice - President (female) are due for election. More details can be found on the EHB website here

East Vintage Masters 55+ Trials, Update : 
The squad will be holding trials on Sundays 5th and 26th February at The Leys School, Cambridge CB2 7AD. Trials will be from 1.30pm until 3.00pm on the 5th and from 1.00pm to 3.00pm on the 26th - please arrive early in order to start on time. The trials are open to all eligible players - those who were born at any time in the years 1953 to 1957 inclusive. So if you are eligible and interested please do come and join us. Further practice matches have been arranged for March and April. Two squads of players will be selected for the Annual UK Regional Vintage Masters 55 + Tournament at Chelmsford HC in May [12th / 13th].
