1. The Minutes of the previous meeting were agreed and signed.

2. Matters arising.  A training session for coaches of Quickstix was held in

Cambs and had been a success.

Ros Marsh has been recovering well having visited Australia.

The lack of an umpires representative was noted.

  C. Farrow had sent out the Mini report as requested.

3. Correspondence: An offer of help from D. Lamb of Lincs was much

   appreciated.

4 East Report. There will no longer be any East Camps -a matter of great

   regret.

The JRPCs will now run on  certain Sundays instead. A reminder was given to

counties that the Performance Committee would like all county squads to be

put in order of player excellence and sent to the Performance Committee after

  the last matches.

There was no report from the umpires.

  Competitions Report

The results of the finals which had been played earlier were given, together

with thanks to the TDs of the various finals. These included Loraine

Bant, Chris Daniels, Kay Edwards, Sheila George and Daphne Menear. Sally

Tippen was also thanked for helping at the Boys’ Schools finals.

The bad weather in February meant that many games of both the schools and

the county championships have had to be re-arranged. Thanks were given to all

those who had replied so promptly to emails and helped find solutions to the

difficulties. L.Bant thanked F.Wheeler for her efforts to  make sure that the

schools finals were played on time and that the County Championships would

be played on time provided the weather did not let us down again.

C.Farrow had sent a report on the progress towards this season’s Mini

  preparation.

5.Next season’s programme. Following the guidelines set down by England,

there was considerable discussion of how to implement these.

Schools: There would be 14 teams in the schools and also the Minis now

known as separate Schools and Club Championships. Proposals on how to run

the schools are to be put forward by the representatives to the schools in their

county and  their comments to be sent to the Secretary by April 1st.

Indoor: Dates were put forward for the Boys schools Indoor. Unfortunately,

we are no longer able to use the University of Essex on Sundays which will

cause considerable difficulties. Other venues were put forward which will be

investigated. England  have split the competition into clubs and schools and

counties were asked to check if their clubs were thinking of entering all of

these new competitions. The  dates given for the Club finals are Dec 19th  and

20th and if not every county was  involved it might be possible to avoid these

  dates.

JACS: There was only time to deal with the U17s As this leads to a National

Finals it was felt that a league competition held on March 14th, March 21st and

March 28th with a slip date of April 25th would be appropriate. The other age

groups would be discussed at a later meeting.

  Girls Representative meeting.

There was  a discussion about the replaying of the U17 game between Essex

 and Norfolk.

Cambs detailed the progress of their teams in the various competitions.

Essex  gave details of their academies with over 600 players taking part in their

JDCs and JACS. They have also run a 7 aside tournament in the emerging schools competitions in East London. The winners will be taking part in an Essex County emerging Schools tournament on March 26th .

Herts No report.

Kent C. Gilliat- Smith had been running the U13 JAC and has found it difficult to find matches for the players especially the boys. Kent’s older players will be encouraged to attend JACS in the South because of  travelling.

Lincs  Have planned the JDC dates and are concerned about the staffing of the JDC dates when there are 5 competitions on the same day. Lincs also want to know which JAC group they will be in.

Norfolk Norfolk want to know what county /JAC fixtures there will be in 2010. Their JDCs have been set up between April and July with a further set of JDCs,  in the second half of 2009.

Suffolk. JACs going well with JDCs starting in the summer.

Boys Representative meeting.

Lincs, Norfolk and Suffolk. As above.

The meeting closed at 9.30. The next meeting will be on Thursday, April 23rd 2009 and not April 29th as stated earlier.
