Minutes of previous meeting: Agreed as correct.
1.
Correspondence
1.1. Query had been raised by Brentwood whether large numbers of spam emails
to club officers originate from addresses trawled from the ClubSearch listings
on the East website. League Managers
were not aware of concerns raised by any other clubs. Noted that the ClubSearch default page
carries no email data that can be trawled.
Rule proposals raised by Clubs at
end of season
1.2. When allocating new teams
from stronger clubs already in the league place them higher than the bottom
division, or provide accelerated promotion routes (from AGM).: agreed that the rule should
allow for placing teams higher than the bottom division in exceptional
circumstances. Draft to be prepared for next meeting.
1.3. Split EWL Premier into N and
S to reduce travelling (Canterbury HC): not agreed to put forward to AGM, as would
not be acceptable promotion route into EHL.
1.4. Link earliest/latest start
times to distance of travel (Canterbury HC): not agreed as a specific rule as already
included as a guideline and it is not possible to define a hard relationship
between start time and distance travelled.
1.5. Require all slip matches to
be played before end of league season (Canterbury HC): not agreed, as would be impossible to slip late-season postponements.
1.6. League Managers not to manage
divisions in which their own club plays (Waltham Forest HC): not agreed as would make divisional allocations difficult and needing
to change too frequently in line with own club promotions and relegations.
1.7. Only champions of div 2 up in
EML and 1 up in EWL must attend Presentation Day, while other champions can
choose not to. (Waltham Forest HC): not
agreed, it is a celebration by and for the whole of East..
2. Playing matters

·
Shefford 4 may withdraw from
EML 8SW
·
Haverhill have yet to decide
on staying in EWL 2NW, due to travel issues
2.3. EH policy statement on 3G pitches noted.
East League will want to limit use of such pitches, but no information
known on any such pitches in East. TW to
check.
3. 2009-2010 preliminaries
3.1. Registration of EML Prem A and EWL Prem players not yet complete in EML.

fines by email for late entries, with a copy to SM (All)
3.3. Team Captain’s details to League Managers – League Managers will apply
fines by email for late entries, with a copy to SM (All)
3.4. Due to a freshers event University of Essex
are asking to postpone some early season away games: not agreed. Club should switch these to home matches.
3.5. Despite the majority of clubs being in favour of the division of 6NW
into N and S divisions for travel, clubs were now beginning to complain of a
lack of variety of opposition. Noted
that 6NW plus 7NW might be better next season – BH will advise as season progresses.
3.6. RM will be away from 5th Nov until the midseason break. EML Managers will email results to SM to
update the website. Top division clubs
will be advised to phone results to SM not RM.
4. Finance

4.2. Old de Ferrians and Bromley & Beckenham
still have fines outstanding. Noted that
not eligible to play until paid. (SM)

HBHUA Respect Campaign noted as a draft in progress.
6. Discipline
6.1. Reminders of multiple yellow cards will no longer be issued to

themselves. League Managers will know
from their own records when players should not be playing, and will apply match
penalties when bans are not observed..
